I clicked the link from the admin page and the new update is missing

Upgrading to 3.1.3 is a suggested upgrade. This is mainly because we haven't suggested an upgrade in a while, and we feel that this is a stable point to upgrade to. Do take a full backup before upgrading however, and leave yourself enough time to revert should you need to. There may have been other upgrades since 3.1.3 - see the ocProducts news archive.

I saw that this morning too and was lost. I do not even see that many bugs for 2.1.2.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

I just looked in the news and it says the newest one is 2.1.2 so ya I am confused.

Maybe it is a secret release where so much is new to it that is not going to be in the news.

I'm not sure what you're both seeing, but I see '3.1.3 released' at the top of the list.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Please try holding down ctrl+alt+shift and clicking refresh. It may be that your ISP(s) have cached the old page contents.

( The uploading is now working. This was broken due to our server problems last night )

If the news archive is being cached, then something other than our code is being naughty. PHP pages should never be cached, but sometimes ISPs or web browsers don't play by the rules.
The news archive is always, 100% definite, updated when a new release is made. Here is a direct link:
ocPortal - News: 3.1.3 released
If it doesn't show up in the future, and you can't find out why your ISP/Browser is not showing the latest page, you could try fiddling the URL to force a new copy to load. For instance:
ocPortal - helping you make your website

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Oh rats, sorry I am guilty. I posted the news under my own blog category, and that didn't have sufficient permissions. Sorry again.

Didn't have any problem d/loading and opening it, Brian. Did you go directly to http://ocportal.com/site/pg/news/view/121?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Ah ha, I think I found the problem. I think my winzip program is what's corrupt. I did an office upgrade today, and I'm having some problems with it. I'll have to try re-installing.

Thanks for the post.
