Forum integration Question....

Pretty sure I have a pebkac issue here..

When I was installing ocp, I didn't have my forums (smf) installed yet (dunno if it's relevant or not, but just in case). I had to go back and reconfigure couple things on the main install page, and I believe that the forum setting I had chose went back to the included ocp forums, rather than on the smf option.

I uninstalled the OCP forums in the admincp, and installed smf in the forum directory that was left over ( I left the "pages" directory that was in there).

I don't think that ocp recognises that I'm using the smf forums now, is there a way to tell it to use them? (and where would I find that option).

This may/may not be related, but when I go to setup >configuration >feature options, I get the error: A template file is missing: OCF_FORUM_LIST_LINE .
I'm currently using Ocp version: 4-RC2, PHP version: 5.2.5, and mysql 5.0.27. (can submit this as a bug if necessary, with the stack trace).

ps... please forgive any missing letters... I have a finicky wireless keyboard that likes to skip letters on me :ninja:. And in case you don't know what "Pebkac" is... Problem exists between keyboard & chair :P

EDIT: Lemme know if any of that doesn't make sense, & I'll try to clarify.

This was a bug in ocportal 4 rc 2 I had reported.
I was told it should be fixed in rc 3.

What I had to do to fix this same issue was install rc1 an then download and install the upgrade to rc2.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Thanks or the response. Glad it's not a pebkac issue.

I'll do what you suggested & hopefully that works!

So glad this is test site and not a live one O_o

Right, you always want your forum of choice installed before you setup ocPortal. It is possible to change the configuration afterward to 'tell' ocPortal to use a different forum, but this can cause a bunch of problems. Since it's a test site, I'd recommend reinstalling ocPortal.
