For some reason when I click on 'Edit this page' at the bottom of a page when it loads, it loads in the editor the same as if it was still the default page. None of my previous changes are there. Same if I load from a previous edit, it always comes up with the default for that page. It does the same if I try going to it through the admin zone to edit it as well.

It only does this on my main site. The other site I have in installed in the network works good. I have tried rebuilding caches and refreshing my browser, no luck. Any ideas?

This is very strange.
What happens if you turn the WYSIWYG editor off, does that make a difference? Does it happen on entirely new pages (pages with no ocPortal default)/

I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

It does not help to turn the WYSIWYG editor off. If I have not cleared the caches since my last edit I get a pop up window that says I have unsaved post data and my changes are remembered that way.

It does not happen on new pages.

Hi,

If you'd like to e-mail FTP details to chris@ocportal.com I'll take a look and see if I can get to the bottom of it.

Hi,

(Brian sent details over)

Okay, there was a bug in ocPortal. It is a very minor bug, because it only happens really when things aren't configured right, but it had this nasty result.

The configuration issue was that the staff filter was on, but you hadn't put yourself on as staff, so the website didn't consider you staff (although you still had access, due to your admin usergroup).

I've done the following:
  • Fixed the bug on your site
  • Added you as staff (Security section of the Admin Zone, Staff icon)
  • Fixed your Admin/CMS logos to match your main theme so your Admin Zone is pretty ;).
  • Fixed the error that was coming from your site when viewing members (I think you uninstalled the authors addon but somehow the authors.php addon registration file got there back. I was getting sick of the error mails ;).
