I created a zone called anime and clicked on the add child page but it did not put them in that zone, like I wanted.

Spreading enjoyment for all. - Otaku Play Ground thats the zone

Click one of the child pages and it takes you out of the zone.

I clicked on the one that says Aanime (can not put spaced so think I found a bug too) and it takes you here.

Spreading enjoyment for all. - Otaku Play Ground

It should be Spreading enjoyment for all. - Otaku Play Ground :o

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Hi,

If you go into the upgrader tool and run an integrity check does it say any files are out-of-date?

I believe this bug was fixed quite a while ago, and I've just ran a successful test.

(it's intentional that you can't put spaces in page names as they form part of the URL - it may have been possible in the past but we've tightened things up for robustness)

I will look first I think it would be nice if the text in the child page box could be change. I mean with out spaces it looks pretty funny to have the links in that block with out spaces. Maybe have another field with the name of the link or use the description. I am hopping it will allow me to use a _ or - for now to fix that issue.

Thanks.

ocPortal upgrader

This is the ocPortal upgrade tool. This tool is a part of ocPortal, but it is intentionally kept lightweight to minimise the risk of a corrupt/old ocPortal installation causing it to itself malfunction.

These files are actually missing and need uploading (you can find them in the manual installer zip for the version you're running):

By the way I did a clean install of 4.1.3 when I installed it as the upgrade did not work. So I am unsure of why those are missing.

Hi,

Thanks for posting that list. There's a problem with our installer build scripts I wasn't aware of before. However you can ignore it as it's not really important. We'll get it fixed.

I've found the problem. There's a page of the same name in the welcome zone and the main_comcode_page_children block on your zone's start page is finding that instead. If you pass in zone="anime" it should fix that:

Code

[block zone="anime"]main_comcode_page_children[/block]

I'll try and get a better fix. The problem is that if you preview the start page when you're editing (from the CMS zone) it doesn't know what zone to look in first, so looked in the welcome zone and found it there.

To make things easier I just uploaded all the files for the manual installer and I still have the same issue. It also lists all the same files except for the comments one.

It didn't turn out to be related to these file at all. Please read my post above again- it's a problem with the main_comcode_pages block, and can be resolved by editing it a bit (on your zone's start page).

Go to the existing page in that zone that's meant to be a child of the front page, edit it, and select the front page as the parent.

It must have saved wrongly due to the same problem with detecting the wrong zone. It shouldn't happen again for future child pages.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I just noticed you're running the new-style short-URLs.

However, when doing this you need to edit the .htaccess files for any new zone you add, to include that new zone.

Code

(site|forum|adminzone|cms|personalzone|collaboration)
->

Code

(site|forum|adminzone|cms|personalzone|collaboration|anime)

(9 times in the same file)

Same panels?

Go to…

Admin Zone, Structure section, Redirects icon. Add redirects…
anime:panel_left -> :panel_left
anime:panel_right -> :panel_right

Ah yes. Make sure each page has a proper title ([title]title goes here[/title]).

Or use this fix for the block file which makes the page name get used if there is no title (not ideal really, but better than blank):
Attachment
sources/blocks/main_comcode_page_children.php
» Download: main_comcode_page_children.php (3 Kb, 225 downloads so far)

Point taken :). I can't make it a field as such, as Comcode pages need to be able to be dropped in as .txt files (in which case no title would arrive); but what I can do is make sure a place-holder is there in the main text for a title so it's obvious to change it.
