The table on the Edit Comcode page shown many entries with a title of "unknown". I noticed this yesterday and re-saved each page which seemed to set the title properly. Come today and they are once again titled "unknown". It's a small thing but there is clearly a bug somewhere which is unsetting the title.

Bob

EDIT: There is definitely some weirdness going on. I had set the titles yesterday and today they were mostly reset to 'unknown'. If I select the item from a menu in the front-end, the titles are regenerated with maybe an exception or two. Going to check what they look like tomorrow after knowing that I have reset the titles tonight.

Could happen if the Comcode Page cache was not on.

  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Comcode page cache is checked.

The titles are still there this morning. I'll watch throughout the next few days to see if I can determine what action unsets them.

I have made a number of changes in 7.1 now so even if it does reoccur, it might be fixed for 7.1.

That sounds great. I am looking forward to 7.1.

I was also impressed with the list of proposed changes that I suspect are further out.

For all my grousing, I do thin ocPortal is a great CMS.
