Don't know if it is V9.0.8 or my server

When I add an event to the calendar and submit it, and then click on Add Event again of course I'm presented with the window, "Are you going to keep adding events .. I'll go to the Add Event screen," (Not the exact wording but I believe you know what I'm saying here,) I click on Ok and once in the add event window I input my information and click add and nothing happens.  It sits there a bit and then times out and gives me an error.  If I don't choose that option, and click cancel instead, but manualy go to the "Add Event" link it seems fine.  I don't know if this is something that krept in in V9.0.8 or on the server end.  I changed hosting providers with in a day of upgrading.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Fan in action

the first time I added an event today, and the first time since updating to version 9.0.8 it had taken a long time to load.  Subsequent posting of events seem timely using an Admin account.

I cannot reproduce either. Sorry for the delay, this topic fell off my radar.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

That's ok Chris, we all know you you guys have your plates full over there.  It isn't a big issue at all.  In fact, three days ago I swapped host, and haven't had an issue since.  Makes me wonder if it wasn't the host and not ocP.  hmm
