hi there all :) just finish the installing of OC

Hope some one can tell me why i get this error?   Table 'master_oc.ocp2_adminlogs' doesn't exist

I get this
when I try add banner, I thought that this log file should be there after an install have been done?

The error in full looks like this:
Unfortunately a query has failed [INSERT INTO ocp2_adminlogs (the_type, param_a, param_b, date_and_time, the_user, ip) VALUES ('ADD_BANNER', 'JJ07', 'test7', 1192894243, 2, '217.157.188.46')] [Table 'master_oc.ocp2_adminlogs' doesn't exist] (ocPortal version: 3.2.4, PHP version: 5.1.2, URL: /cms/index.php?page=cms_banners&type=_ad&uploading=1)

And yes I am new to this Portal )       And I had to use the hard way to install it on, in manual, all those permissions lol   so I hope I get all permissions right, are there by the way a place where I could see all the folders/files needed to have what kind of permissions? I read somewhere, but I lost the link to it :(

Hope some can help me on this
Thanks
All the best
Johnny

Hi,

I think you missed uploading the adminzone/pages/modules/admin_actionlog.php file.
Once that's on, go to the Action Log in the Admin Zone and the module (and associated database) will install itself.

The permissions were in our installation tutorial.

Sorry, I listed the wrong file. I think sources/blocks/main_staff_actions.php is missing.

Restore that file, then open up <mysite>/force_upgrade.php into your browser. Log in and choose to do a 'Database upgrade'.

Hi Chris, I do have that file also and I see your name in it ;))

I do did what you say here and made an forced upgrade, but seems I have trouble with to get to my FTP that way, one of the reason to why I not used the easy way to do the install  ;)        My FTP do work though when I use it in normal way, but not with your ways :(

Cannot connect to the FTP server    what I get no matter what I try if use your ways.

So I can't fore anything and still get message like this; Unfortunately a query has failed [SELECT t_tip FROM ocp2_staff_tips_dismissed WHERE (t_member=2) ] [Table 'master_oc.ocp2_staff_tips_dismissed' doesn't exist] (ocPortal version: 3.2.4, PHP version: 5.1.2, URL: /adminzone/staff_tips.php?keep_session=3120488)

I am sure it is a minor problem and I hope together we can find out as I do want this to work, seems it is the best ever made Portal :)

Hi,

It might be that you don't have FTP on your server. This isn't strictly needed for ocPortal, and you can just blank out the FTP stuff and it'll let you in.

It looks like you also have sources/blocks/main_staff_tips.php missing.

The same process can be carried out as per the last block.

Okay Chris, but I do have FTP on and I can and do use it a lot, so I don't understand it not work through the script, ?

I will try some more Chris, also disable the FTP just for trying it, and let you know how it goes, thanks Johnny

PS.   I try to disable the FTP  and then force an upgrade, then I get this message:  No specific upgrade needed to be done.

So it seems not the reason?    After i did the forceupg.  and then logged in, I still get this:
Unfortunately a query has failed [INSERT INTO ocp2_adminlogs (the_type, param_a, param_b, date_and_time, the_user, ip) VALUES ('ADD_BANNER', 'JJ010', 'test10', 1192914801, 2, '217.157.188.46')] [Table 'master_oc.ocp2_adminlogs' doesn't exist] (ocPortal version: 3.2.4, PHP version: 5.1.2, URL: /cms/index.php?page=cms_banners&type=_ad&uploading=1)

This when I try adding a banner as btw to get added, just pretty enjoying to see this fail message lol

I will hit the bed and try more to morrow.
Thanks for the help Chris
Johnny

Morning

Chris I have now gone through everything, lol   I think, and have checked all permissions, only thing there was missing is this ( site/pages/html_custom/EN/download_tree_made.htm .  site/pages/html_custom/EN/cedi_tree_made.htm) , and still is missing as I not even have those pages in my Install map in my PC ? So could not just take it and move it over :(

then try in Admin to add a banner again, it do get added, but I still get this:

Unfortunately a query has failed [INSERT INTO ocp2_adminlogs (the_type, param_a, param_b, date_and_time, the_user, ip) VALUES ('ADD_BANNER', 'johnny', 'test 20', 1192955719, 2, '217.157.188.46')] [Table 'master_oc.ocp2_adminlogs' doesn't exist] (ocPortal version: 3.2.4, PHP version: 5.1.2, URL: /cms/index.php?page=cms_banners&type=_ad&uploading=1)

Very odd ?

What now ?  Any ideas?

Johnny

Okay Chris, but I do have FTP on and I can and do use it a lot, so I don't understand it not work through the script, ?

You might not have FTP support in PHP itself, so PHP cannot connect.

Did you restore those missing files before running through the upgrader? I've just tested this myself, by adding in a new custom block file - the upgrader did pick up on it and say it installed it.

 Hi Chris :)

This ( You might not have FTP support in PHP itself, so PHP cannot connect. ) How can I know this? And if I not have it how to add it?
As I think a new install with your easy installer would be best it seems ?

About this (missing pages) as mention above they was not missing, but was/is in there al right all the time.

Only those files was/are missing though still and I have them not either in install map in my PC site/pages/html_custom/EN/download_tree_made.htm . site/pages/html_custom/EN/cedi_tree_made.htm

Johnny

PS.  Could this ( Table 'master_oc.ocp2_adminlogs' doesn't exist ) be added somehow? and if  where?  as this is the only thing I miss  to get right it seems or okay  a new install is needed?

You can check for the PHP FTP extension using the 'PHP-Info' icon in the 'Tools' section of the Admin Zone. If it's not there, whoever administers the server would need to add it.

I'm not talking about files needing file permissions, as this problems is not related to those. Those .htm files are not relevant, and you can ignore those. This is to do with files that requiring installation being missing when the installer was run.
In particular:
sources/blocks/main_staff_actions.php
Are you sure this file is there, and is not blank or otherwise corrupt in some way?

Hi again Chris,

yes I know is not about the permission this problem, and yes I'm sure they are not empty neither and if corrupted I can't tell, but they do seems alike those from my PC install map I have, but just in case I did restore again, same problem though.  No one is at zero, except the index.html    lol   as I also think it shall be so.

Thanks to let me know how to see about PHP  and yes I have them not, I have asked my server Admin to install it now.

Johnny
