Hi All

I'm trying to activate the support ticket system on my install, but according to the admin zone, it's an add-on. This is not showing in the add-ons section at all, be it enabled or disabled. I can't seem to find it as a download on the ocp site, or any detailed information relating to it. Can anyone give me any advice as to how to activate it?

Many thanks

Lee

Well-settled

Just add a link to it using the menu editor, which can choose to create a link from all available pages; or you'll find it on the sitemap. It should be listed as an installed addon as it's bundled, I think it's called "tickets".

Hi Duder

Thanks… How the hell I missed "tickets" in the add-on list I don't know. I guess it was because I was expecting to look for support tickets. I already had the link in the left panel, but it's link was for some bizarre reason set to go to a search page (Not by me I have to add lol). I found the main entry point for the support tickets and set it so, and now all is as it should be. Many thanks again.

On a completely separate note, and I will be posting this query soon anyway, but do you happen to know how to put breadcrumbs on all pages, particularly the galleries? I was expecting to find a simple switch somewhere, a block or an easy bit of tempcode, but so far without success; it looks like I'd have to manually edit all manner of php files, which I'm obviously trying to avoid, as it could screw up any upgrade path.

Cheers

Breadcrumbs are on all the modules, unless you removed them from GLOBAL.tpl…

Hi Chris

Thanks for your reply.

I checked the global template, and there appears to be a difference from the active version and the original. I certainly didn't remove the breadcrumbs code from it, nor did I as far as I can see or remember, modify the template. Indeed the breadcrumbs code is there (albeit slightly different to the original).

Is this perhaps due to the upgrader, when I encountered problems with it, going from 4.1.13 to 4.2.2?

Here's a small excerpt from the active version:

<div id="page_running_{$PAGE*}" class="global_middle dequirk" style="width: {$GET,middle_width}{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{$GET,left_width},0}}; margin-{!en_left}: {$GET,left_width}{+END}{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{$GET,right_width},0
}}; margin-{!en_right}: {$GET,right_width}{+END}">
<div id="global_middle_ph">
{+START,IF,{$GET,show_top}}{+START,IF,{$IN_STR,{BREADCRUMBS}
,<a }}
<div class="breadcrumbs breadcrumbs_always">
<img class="breadcrumbs_img" src="{$IMG*,treenav}" title="" alt="> " />
{BREADCRUMBS}
</div>
{+END}{+END}

<a name="maincontent" id="maincontent"></a>
{MIDDLE}{$SET,interlock,_false}
</div>
</div>

And the original:

<div id="page_running_{$PAGE*}" class="zone_running_{$ZONE*} global_middle dequirk" style="width: {$GET,middle_width}{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{$GET,left_width},0}}; margin-{!en_left}: {$GET,left_width}{+END}{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{$GET,right_width},0
}}; margin-{!en_right}: {$GET,right_width}{+END}">
<div id="global_middle_ph">
{+START,IF,{$IN_STR,{BREADCRUMBS},<a }}
<div class="breadcrumbs breadcrumbs_always">
<img class="breadcrumbs_img" src="{$IMG*,treenav}" title="" alt="> " />
{BREADCRUMBS}
</div>
{+END}

<a name="maincontent" id="maincontent"></a>
{MIDDLE}
</div>
</div>

Should I revert to the "original" - or could this cause other problems?

Regards

Lee

Aha :)

I think removing {+START,IF,{$GET,show_top}}...{+END} will fix it. I think we probably changed how it works a bit and I don't think show_top is defined anymore.

Hi again Chris

I made the changes as you recommended, and it(the breadcrumbs) seems to have worked generally. Thank you.

However, there are a few idiosyncrasies with it.

It doesn't show on the general home page or home pages of the other zones (except the forum zone - ??) although there has been space left above the page/s titles to accommodate it. I feel it would make sense if it WAS on these pages as a matter of consistency, even if it was just the arrow button graphic and "home" or something similar. I find the breadcrumbs idea is really helpful for navigation and understanding of where you are on a site. Is this possible to do easily, or is it something too integral that it would have to wait for an official update from yourselves (if indeed you chose to do it lol)?

There were other pages it didn't show…it looks generally like pages where you are editing information. Can breadcrumbs be added here?

And also, how can you add breadcrumbs to a custom comcode page? Breadcrumbs don't appear to be available as a block, so how can it be incorporated?

Cheers again

Sorry, I can't answer these questions on the forum, as it would definitely classify as technical support.

Oh ok Chris. Are you telling me that I haven't done anything to screw it up then and this is how OCP is meant to be in it's default config?

And just so I don't make awkward requests in future, can you tell me where the line is drawn between what is suitable to deal with on the forum and what is considered technical support?

Cheers

Hi,

It does sound like things are working normally for you now, yes.

You can ask anything on the forum, it's just the staff can only directly deal with bug reports or straight-forward usability issues.
