I just opened the site up for subscription service and ran into a major SNAFU. The first person to subscribe got charged, payment was received by PayPal but nothing changed on the site for her. I checked her profile and sure enough she was not in the Secondary Group.

I went in and did a Manual transaction to complete the process, I found her transaction:
"Subscription #7 (member: Kayla Nagle) and selected it.

I clicked on Manual Transaction and the system indicated a completion and even sent out the thank you email. Unfortunately the email was sent to me and I was added to the secondary membership. Does anyone have any thoughts?, or should I submit a ticket? Does anyone use the subscription system?

I have a work order in for some paid work and was about to agree to have the work done but everything revolves around the subscription system so I really need this fixed.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
