An error has occurred

Hello. I get a strange error message when I try to change the settings in the newsletter in my account. I fill in the e-mail address and password maintenance etc but the error message is there no matter what I do? See below.

An error has occurredPHP WARNING [2] Missing argument 5 for Module_newsletter::send_confirmation(), called in /customers/5/9/6/ on line 363 and defined in site/pages/modules/newsletter.php on line 466 (version: 7.1.6, PHP version: 5.3.26, URL: /personalzone/index.php?page=newsletter&type=do)

v7 is really old at this point, you should consider upgrading to v8 which is still compatible without major work. I don't know if perhaps you uploaded a newer hotfix, or if this bug was fixed already in a newer version, but it's unlikely this bug exists in v8 and higher.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
