Can you regulate the added subgalleries order or is it listed in the order it was added? I mean the first added ends up on the end of the list and the newest added becomes first? Is there a built-in way I can re-order these at will?

At my Prehistorics Illustrated site subgalleries appear to list in alphabetical order (OCP v5.0.2) on my other site (not open) using OCP v5.1 beta1 it appears to be listed in the order added. Is this a template controled function or is it deeper than that?

Disclaimer: I am NOT a coder!

/site/pages/modules/galleries.php
  • lines 539 and 542 refer to 'Subgalleries' and their sort order and what parameters ('date' in this instance)
  • there are several other lines that reference sort orders as DESC, but you'd need to look closely at what it is they are referencing

On the other hand, you might want to wait for Chris to blow this one out of the water … !!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Yes, we all take on a bit of risk when we try anything… nice to take a pocketful of breadcrumbs with you when you go exploring.

I wonder if there is a switch that is not so deep. Thanks for the compass alignment. I'm still looking…
