Greetings,

I decided to attempt to make a survey using the Quiz module. I haven't yet made use of the module, and thought that it might be useful in getting a good feel for how each member feels about the site and stuff, as well as get some input in from them on how everything works for them, ease of use, and any suggestions and such.

Well I made the quiz as a survey, then went and took the survey myself. So far so good. Yet when I go to Usage > Quiz> View Survey results, I get a lovely error…

An error has occurred

PHP ERROR [1] Call to undefined function view_space_field() in /home/norovane/public_html/adminzone/pages/modules/admin_qui
z.php on line 356 (version: 4.3.1, PHP version: 5.2.11, URL: /adminzone/index.php?page=admin_quiz&type=_survey_results&id
=1)

So yay right? It looks like something is missing, yet I am not sure what….

Hi,

In adminzone/pages/modules/admin_quiz.php you will see two lines contain 'view_space_field'.
Before each line could you add:

Code

      require_code('templates_view_space');

Sorry for the inconvenience. This will have sneaked in when we did memory optimisations.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Yup it worked! Thanks Chris!

Hey, problems happen, no big deal. Most appreciative to get it solved though!
