After upgrade from 6.1.1 to 7.0.1

Before trying to fix my OCF_Driver issue, I've noticed that I could not edit anything on the website, including Comcode pages and forum posts.

sources/files.php seems to be out-of-date, but I'm not sure why it would be.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Indeed it is, but it is not included in the upgrade package, only files2.php

Do you have the filename/URL of the package you used, so I can investigate?

Unfortunately there was a bug in our upgrade generator that only came up this time around. If multiple people generated a download at the same time then they could tread on each other and files could end up missing.

You may want to re-run the upgrade TAR extraction step with this URL, which has now been regenerated. It doesn't matter that you are already upgraded, it will still work because all it does is extract the files that your selection of addons use. The 'from' version works as a marker so we can tell which files have changed since then to minimise the upgrade size, the earlier the marker, the more files covered in the upgrade.
