It changes themes!

Greetings,

As some of you may know, I had created a theme for ocPortal 5, Classic Legends. I used this theme for my website, and shared it with you guys. As a reminder of the theme, here are some screenshots I made when I first shared it with you…

The theme worked well without any changes needed to be made in ocPortal 6 beta 1 and beta 2. That however is not the case in 6 RC 1. Here are some screenshots of what is going on in RC1.

In this screenshot notice the header. The logo is mesed up with a new bar appearing that isn't supposed to.

Also the links are red. They were once black and bold (refering to the forum links here).

This is the front page. The logo is again, messed up. Also the "Welcome to Legends of NorOva" and "Welcome back mythus" got changed into black. I had these showing up as white before….

The reading more of the news post page… the logo is messed up, and the reading box once had a cream-color looking background in it (to give the illusion of old paper). Now it is just plain white.

I am thinking there's probably other areas that got *changed* as well. This is quite unfortunate, it means that while I am still workign on getting my site built I now have the added task of updating my theme and correcting all these errors.

Anyways, I thought I'd warn you guys, and report it here hust incase this wasn't intended to happen.

Hi,

Did you run the integrity check when upgrading? It might have tried to merge in the mobile theme changes, but you should be able to restore the last revision of global.css and ocf.css to step back.
The only significant changes were adding lots of conditional styles for mobile display.

*growls at his crappy 'high speed internet provider'* I really hate cableone. I hade tried to post this twice now, only to loose thepost in it's entirety even in full reply mode, because the internet desided to time out.

Anyways, in short. I restored global.css. Logo still messed up.

Here's a screenshot…..

Looks a lot closer, right? I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but one vague theory is maybe you stepped back to one of your own revisions, but regardless I suspect you'll know how to fix it up pretty quick.

Greetings,

The revision I stepped back to was the one before the upgrade. Before the upgrade, this didn't happen, the logo was lined up in the header perfectly. I never used any odd extra codign for it either, having simply uploaded the logo image in theme image editing tool.

I haven't really searched too hard into it yet to see why there is such change up there. Only idea I have at the moment is to try and re-upload the logo image. Not sure how well it will work though lol.

Actually I just remembered we did add an <h1> around the logo for accessibility reasons. I'd assumed you'd overridden HEADER.tpl, but if you haven't this probably caused it. With our HEADER.tpl this is now needed:

Code

.global_top h1 {
   margin: 0;
}

Hi Mythus,

Were you posting a particularly long post, or a post with complex WYSIWYG, to this topic? I had to kill the process as it was slowing the server down. Not your fault, it might be a bug and I want to investigate, but if would actually help me if you could email me a copy of the HTML source you were trying to post in a .txt file (or attach as a .txt file here). You can get that from the 'view source' of the WYSIWYG editor and copy&pasting from there.

LOL no I had simply typed a 3 line quick reply, in the quiick reply box. I also had several other parts of the forum open in other tabs (typically what I do, I open up all I want to read in different tabs, and get to them one tab at a time).

Just to note, I saw the critical server error earlier when trying to visit the site as well, before this last one.

Actually, the post I tried to post, it went through. It is #66747, right above the post where you said "Actually… stuff about header change"
