Controlling Flow of Blocks

I am building my first installation of ocPortal and beginning to get to grips with the concepts.

I am using a variety of News blocks with filters set to allow specific information to always be displayed on the main site page.

But what I have lost control of is the size of the blocks.

All Blocks are now 100% of the width of the space between the Right and Left panel.

I did have some 50% width blocks from the initial install but the code for this seems to be have been lost as I have added more blocks and pages to the Site page.

How do I define that blocks are 33% or 50% of the width such that I can get 2 , or 3 blocks across the page ?

Hey windymillar, welcome aboard! This should get you going:

Code

[semihtml]
<div class="float_surrounder">
<div style="width: 48%; float: left">[block param="random" zone="_SEARCH"]main_iotd[/block]</div>
<div style="width: 48%; float: right">[block]main_poll[/block]</div>
</div>
[/semihtml]

That code puts the image of the day and main poll blocks side by side and approx. 48% of the width each. Add divs and adjust the width % as needed and you should be all set.
