Errors in Sitemap generation

I am trying to make my site as SEO friendly as possible and I have definitely noticed that ocPortal is certainly designed for this with the keywords, descriptions, titles, etc.

But I'm not sure how that is working out. So I wanted to make a sitemap and submit it to Google and other places in order for it to be picked up more easily.

I've tried two things in order to generate a sitemap and both have not succeeded.

Option 1:
On ocPortal, there is a tutorial page that shows how to generate a link. I put in the link:

And I get this error:

<br />An error has occurredUnfortunately a query has failed [SELECT c.c_title,c.c_name,c.text_original FROM ocp6_catalogues c JOIN ocp6_catalogue_entries e &#111;n e.c_name=c.c_name LEFT JOIN ocp6_translate t &#111;n language=&#39;EN&#39; AND GROUP BY c.c_name] [Unknown column &#39;c.text_original&#39; in &#39;field list&#39;](version: 6.1.1, PHP version: 5.2.9, URL: /social/data/force_sitemap_generation.php)

And I get that error every single time.

Option 2:
So I attempted another way. I went to this site: Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator
And generated a sitemap. All seemed to be going well. Between 400-500 links were found and generated.
I uploaded it to my server, uploaded it to the Google Webmaster Tool, and it was submitted.
A day later, I got this error:

<br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />LineStatusDetails-URLs not followedWhen we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL.HTTP Error:&nbsp;301URL:;type=results&amp;content=music&amp;days=-1&amp;only_search_meta=1&amp;all_defaults=1&amp;keep_session=1448502794Problem detected &#111;n:&nbsp;May 12, 2011

My site map is located here.

Any ideas on how to fix any of these broken options?

For Option 2, I was able to fix the error by forcing a 301 direct in the .htaccess file.

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^site\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$$1 [R=permanent,L]

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
