This is an odd one, I use side_rss in the right hand panel to collect the rss feed from a third party site, this is working.

I also use side_rss on the main :start page connecting to my own ATOM feed for recent additions to the download on my site, this never fills.

This coincides with the update I did today from 9.0.19 (fully patched) to 9.0.20 (plus the #9948 patch).

The ATOM feed itself works fine.

Any idea's anyone?

TQ

Hi,

I can't reproduce an issue locally, but I can see I still have working FTP access to your site, so I am taking a quick look.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Chris, I have removed it from the home page right now because I didn't get any replies but I really do appreciate you having a look.

Give me 10 minutes to re-add it to the bottom of the page and well see what happens.

I like the side_rss as it reproduces the amount of info I want.

Appreciated.

TQ

Side_rss re-added near the bottom of the home page, caches flushed.

Thanks Chris

Actually I tend to test blocks within the Add Block Assistant, makes it really easy without altering a site :).

I have the problem narrowed down to a change in our HTTP downloader, currently debugging it.

I've fixed this on your site.

Fix is:
0002017: Problem with HTTP downloader - ocPortal feature tracker

I also fixed an issue with preview the RSS block, but I've not included that in a hotfix.
