I've switched my URLs to the newer .htm version, but now the mobile version of my site times out after attempting several redirects. Anyone familiar with this?

I'm actually not sure, cause it switches so fast. I type in the root domain, and it goes to /pg/start and then flickers a bunch of times, before settling on start.htm but doesn't load the page.

You can duplicate this I think by typing shinuk.ca into a mobile phone.

I just called up my iOS simulator and had no issue, so it's probably a caching problem you have. Try clearing the browser cache on the phone.

I noticed you have the old viewport setting in HEADER.tpl. Change:

Code

<meta name="viewport" content="width=320;" />
to:

Code

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;">

We made this change a while back, although I just noticed we haven't updated our themes yet.

You'll also want to put

Code

{+START,IF,{$NOT,{$MOBILE}}}
...
{+END}
around the code for that social media bar, that's too much for a phone.

Man I feel so dumb. Worked right away after clearing the cache. So I guess my browser had /pg/start saved which redirected to start.htm and it was an endless loop?

Thanks so much for your help anyway, and for the header template tips too. Fletch's themes were probably originally based on an earlier ocp default theme before you made the change. I'll add the codes to mine manually. Thanks again.

It was me, not ocp (should have known). "Problem" resolved.
