Well, this is embarrassing. I just started using ocPortal, and I can't find an option to make short (seo) links. I remember reading somewhere that ocPortal supports short links, and I can also see this website has them. Where can I find the option to set them up?

Thanks in advance.

hmm.. now there's an error showing up when I'm clicking on Site options:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function php_return_bytes() in /home/edinchez/public_html/ocportal/adminzone/pages/modules/admin_config.php on line 528

PHP ERROR [1] Call to undefined function php_return_bytes() in /home/edinchez/public_html/ocportal/adminzone/pages/modules/admin_config.php on line 528 (version: 7.0.1, PHP version: 5.2.13, URL: /ocportal/adminzone/index.php?page=admin_config&type=category&id=SITE&keep_mobile=0)

Here is the stack trace:

Below is a stack trace revealing the state the software was in when the error occurred. If this represents a bug in the unmodified software, you may want to check ocPortal website for a fix, and if there isn't one, report this as a bug. Please note that merely posting a stack trace is not sufficient for us to solve your problem; the stack trace is just an aid that presents us with additional information. We still need to know the error message, what you tried to do, how you tried to do it, version numbers, and any other appropriate information.
We apologise for this problem and if it's a bug we hope you will work with us so that we can fix it for you promptly.

Hi Edinchez!

This error is similar to the ones I received during editing after upgrading to 7.0.1
See post here: View topic: 7.0.1 after upgrade cannot edit anything! - ocPortal

Here is what I did to fix this:
  • backup from /sources/files.php (in case it you need to refer to it again)
  • Downloaded the full 7.0.1 version here: http://ocportal.com/site/dload.php?id=499
  • Extracted the zip in my computer
  • Uploaded (ftp) from \sources\files.php to /sources/files.php
There might be other files to fix, but let's wait for Chris to advise on this further. Meanwhile, this correction fixed my problems for now. Hope it does the same for you.
Jean

Nevermind, changed host since I was only testing, and no need for it now, it works perfectly. I think the upgrade package has a problem, because the full package works fine.

Yes, we apologise for the bug. For reference the explanation is here:

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
