Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix the permissions in the new Shopping Cart catalog so that unregistered guests can purchase items with it. At the moment I can go into the catalogs as a Guest and select FAQ's or Links with no problem but if I try to select Products it takes me straight to the registration page.

Is it perhaps missing permissions on the catalogue or the category in it?

Hey Chris,

Not quite sure what you are asking. I installed a fresh install of 4.2 and just wanted to try out the shopping cart for another site that I maintain. Without making any changes what so ever the FAQ and Links work just fine but the shopping cart does not without being logged in.

I looked at the permissions for the Catalogue and all settings are at the default settings. The Category is giving the following error when I try to look at it.

* Codename
//
If there are additional categories available underneath a category then there will be a clickable 'plus' icon shown to the left of it. Choose your selection by clicking.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Module_cms_catalogues_cat::get_cat() in /home/mannainf/public_html/sources/aed_module.php on line 735

Help / advice

There is a tutorial which covers this feature.

An error has occurred

PHP ERROR [1] Call to undefined method Module_cms_catalogues_cat::get_cat() in /home/mannainf/public_html/sources/aed_module.php on line 735 (version: 4.2.2, PHP version: 5.2.9, URL: /data/iframe.php?zone=cms&wide_high=1&opens_below=1&page=cms_catalogues&type=_ec&catalogue_name=products&id=6)

Here is the stack trace:

Below is a stack trace revealing the state the software was in when the error occurred. If this represents a bug in the unmodified software, you may want to check ocPortal website for a fix, and if there isn't one, report this as a bug. Please note that merely posting a stack trace is not sufficient for us to solve your problem; the stack trace is just an aid that presents us with additional information. We still need to know the error message, what you tried to do, how you tried to do it, version numbers, and any other appropriate information.
We apologise for this problem and if it's a bug we hope you will work with us so that we can fix it for you promptly.

Hi,

I've taken a look and can confirm it is the permissions on the category that are missing. 4.3 RC2 will include the permissions by default.

The stack trace you are seeing is due to a bug in 4.2.2. If you look at the bug fixes (link from the Admin Zone front page) you'll find the fix to this.
