Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

Hello,

I have downloaded ocPortal and find it to be great. I have only been running it locally. It seems a bit sluggish but it might just be my machine, I will load it to my webserver and try it out there.

I have a site that has grown to roughly 20000 members with a forum that contains thousands of posts. These two items are my biggest concern.

Has anyone converted a similar or larger site to ocPortal and can anyone offer advice on how to migrate the data for the users and the forums?

Thanks,
Mike

I used to use PHP-Fusion a long time ago. Never did any conversion with it tho. Ended up just keeping an email database and had my members move over to the new site if they so chose to.

Glad you possibly decided to move up to ocPortal !!!
