I have the search box up on my site. When I type in a term, it only searches my Gallery and my Blog/News  entries.

When I go to the advanced search options and check the box that lets the search into the Catalogues, I get a bailout error when submitting the search. And it also opens the entire page within the same frame.

Is there any way I can make it include my catalogue by default?
I'm running a recipe website, so it'd be nice if my visitors could do a search on specific terms in the recipes I have in my catalogues.

I attatched the bailout error message in a txt file.

Hi,

I believe the attached will fix this issue.

Thank you, Chris.
That solved the frame issue.

But is there a way to make it search the catalogues by default?

It should just be a parameter on the search block (Limit To). If left to the blank option like in this screenshot, it will use hard-coded software defaults.

I can see the confusion actually, the label for that "Limit to" parameter doesn't really explain what is happening.

I will change it to say:
Optionally, only search the given content types. You can also specify multiple content types here. If you do not make a selection, a hard-coded selection of content types will be searched (not a complete selection).
