I get an error when I try to install ocportal

This is the message that I get when I click on the "Install ocPortal" button on step=4 on the deployment.  "<script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script" !  I'm assuming that this is from the godaddy ads that are present with this url.  How do I get past this?  Thanks in advance for putting up with newbie ?'s  TT

Hi,

That's rather worrying, and I think it's going to be a roadblock stopping you using this hosting I'm afraid. GoDaddy is inserting ads into AJAX responses - in other words, it's breaking AJAX.
You could turn off Javascript in your web browser but that would give you an inferior experience using the software, and be a bit of a pain to manage.

google ads

Thanks for the reply.  Wanted to make sure I wasn't on drugs during the install.  I will use my non-ad godaddy account to set things up.  I'm trying out all the cms software Drupal, Mamba etc.  I never get any emails during the setup including OCP.  Any ideas why this is?  I use a diffent email other than the domain I'm setting up.  Is the spam blocking the emails on the cms servers?  Thanks again for the response it was helpful!  TT

Hi,

Is the spam blocking the emails on the cms servers?

It's possible, yes - usually due to SPF. Ideally you would have your email coming off the same domain that your website is hosted on.
Another possibility is if the account you receive email on is thinking the email is spam for some other reasons. They can be quite picky sometimes - I know yahoo can be quite bad.
It's also possible email on the server isn't configured properly.
