Chris-

I know this was just discussed in another thread but search as I may, I don't seem to be able to find that post. In it, I think you said that the supports there but not enabled since HTML5 is still a moving target. You also mentioned some information about enabling it which I cannot find either.

I have found these two blog entries for anyone interested:
Schema.org: Setting your content free - ocPortal
Using schema.org to turn websites into mobile apps - ocPortal

I am curious to find out how I might enable tis feature and I am also curious what you see as potential downsides to enabling it.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Bob

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thanks for that.

I'm thinking of taking this for a test-drive on my live site. Are you aware of any additional issues which have surfaced subsequent to this announcement?

I enabled it live right away when 7.1 beta1 first came out, no issues to report. :)

Thanks Brian and Chris.

Just enabled it on my site. I'm curious to see if it impacts SERPs at all.
