Forum Rules Page has error message

Hi everyone - hopefully this should be the last little glitch I need to sort out, almost everything else seems to be working now.

On the menu across the top of the Forum page, the 'Rules' tab comes up with an error message as follows: The requested page gave no output.

Whenever this error message has appeared on other pages in the past, I've managed to go to a menu and reset the page destination so that it is pointing to the right page. However, in this case I am absolutely stumped as I can't find out how to access configuration for the the 'rules' tab in the top menu of the Forum section.

I hope I've explained that adequately but please ask me if you need more specific information.

thanks in advance for your help

There's a builtin assumption that the pages/comcode/EN/rules.txt file exists.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
