Hi,
I was wondering if there is a solution to this problem I am having.
At the moment we have a ticker on the site in the middle.

Code

[block date_key="lasttime" param="12" forum="48"]bottom_forum_news[/block]
Now If I go to 'Edit in Zone Editor" and add block lets say on the right hand side. Too add another Rss feed . eg from external website, and save it. I then go to refresh it will pull the news out of the original middle ticker that is setup into the corner , So its like the second one grabs the first ones info ont he page, and the original one does not display. is there a specific block I should be using to make them both work? Thanks Slav

I'm not sure I found/understood the bugs you mentioned, but I tested having two copies of both the side_rss block and the bottom_rss block and they did conflict, but not with each other. Fixes attached.

Okay Now I am worried, I was able to replace the block bottom news tpl to a 5.0.3 back and then it all worked again, I then refreshed chache and went to see which file was corrupt, but now no matter if I replace the 2 files back with originals I get nothing LOL
Ok Have tried and to no avail cannot display my site now. Not sure how to tackle it, as I replaced the 2 files back and emptied all the cache using ftp program int he themes cached folders

Oh. Try emptying the cache from the upgrader.php script, it may be a problem with the block cache.

Hi Chris,
I managed to get the upgrader to show up but thats it it like hangs. Anyway I noticed that all my other sites are now not accessible on that server LOL Nor can I FTP anymore… Maybe the server crashed, I was in it before and looked ok… mmmm Weird . I hope it was all a coincidence LOL… Will post back after I see if I can get in anywhere.

Hi Chris,
Okay well you have fixed the problem. It now displays in the middle of the site like it did and ion the side like it should.
It now scrolls the RSS Feed news. :):)

Cool, well, there's a 'title' parameter to the block that should do that. As for reverse order, not so simple, but could be done via some templating.

Well never mind cause I just realized that RSS display (side_rss)  does that LOL Excatly .
But I still think on the previous block I reckon maybe there should be a option for a title.
its 2 am here now .. My head is getting a bit tired…

Looked at your site forecasts and it looks like miserable weather all week …

What's the forecast for Friday, for the second ODI?

 ;)

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Weather bad here, its summer and you know we had only one day above 30C , its a weird year. Floods everywhere in the country but yeah no summer yet, which is fine by me as I dont like the hot weather anyway.
