I was expecting this feed to contain comments made on the website which then are added to the "Website comment topics" forum. However, when checking this, I find no entries in the feed (although the comment topics are included in the "forums" feed). What is the purpose of the "Comments" feed?

Only works for a particular comment topic, the feed URLs for that are advertised when viewing content. It should not really be on the global feeds list because it will come out blank always.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Okay….not what I was expecting but I can use the forum feeds with a filter to accomplish what I want.

Chris-

Does your note on this feature tracker item mean that the RSS feed would also be populated with comments?

I haven't really thought it through properly yet to be honest.

Fair enough. I'll just follow the tracker entry for future notes.
