...yet forum stats accurately declare N posts.

Is this just a result of "view access" settings?

I'm viewing as admin.

Thanks.

Hi,

To clarify, it *appears* as though the posts haven't been imported at all:

Viewing as admin, with the site's status turned to "open," I can't see any posts, except for the OCF default "Welcome!" post.

The only indicator within OCF that there are any posts is the OCF "statistics" tag.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks. :)

Admin Zone, Tools, Cleanup Tools -> regenerate the various forum caches there. I think 5.0.2 has a bug that doesn't explain to you that you need to do this.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi,

Yes, I'd actually already done this (and I've just now done it again)– but whereas the statistics were and are accurate, the posts themselves are nowhere to be found.

I'm not sure what's happened but if you'd like to send an SQL dump to chris@ocportal.com I'll have a shot myself and try and see what's wrong.
