When I go to Home Content Management Galleries Edit image, the tree list is replaced by a "There are no entries at this time" message.

The only way I can edit an image at the moment is directly from the gallery via the "Edit image" link.

I can't reproduce this one. All I can think is that it intentionally skips download galleries in this, and only shows what has edit permission for the current user.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

This occurs for staff, but admin is OK. I just double-checked the staff permissions and they are inheriting full permissions in the cms_galleries module, including "Download the contents of a gallery as an archive file".

That bug still has a little life left in him. Although the tree is now visible, I can't select any images.

Works fine here, so long as they have 'Edit image/video' enabled for the cms_galleries module, or 'Edit other users' mid-impact (medium visibility) content' globally.

Just found out that its a browser problem not a permission problem. Both staff and admin work fine in Firefox, but neither work in IE8.

I was logged in as admin in Firefox and as staff in IE.

Tried the search forum tree and that has the same problem.

OK, found the problem. It was with an outdated templates_custom/JAVASCRIPT_TREE_LIST.tpl. I need a custom one to match the colours in it to those in my theme.

I've had to change colours in JAVASCRIPT_TREE_LIST.tpl, and opacity in JAVASCRIPT_VALIDATION.tpl.
