How do I clear view statistics, such as gallery image views and forum post views?

I want to clear all the stats that were generated during site development.

Tried those 'obvious' options, but not luck.

There's no built in feature. You could run some manual update queries. The fields involved have 'views' in the name.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

OK. Done!

For anyone else that may be interested, here are all the OcCLE friendly SQL statements, except for those dealing with banners:

Code

@UPDATE `ocpo_calendar_events` SET e_views = 0 WHERE e_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_catalogue_entries` SET ce_views = 0 WHERE ce_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_catalogue_entries` SET ce_views_prior = 0 WHERE ce_views_prior > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_download_downloads` SET download_views = 0 WHERE download_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_f_topics` SET t_num_views = 0 WHERE t_num_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_images` SET image_views = 0 WHERE image_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_iotd` SET iotd_views = 0 WHERE iotd_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_news` SET news_views = 0 WHERE news_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_poll` SET poll_views = 0 WHERE poll_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_seedy_pages` SET seedy_views = 0 WHERE seedy_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_seedy_posts` SET seedy_views = 0 WHERE seedy_views > 0
@UPDATE `ocpo_videos` SET video_views = 0 WHERE video_views > 0

Chris, is there a way to do multiple SQL actions in a single OcCLE line? I tried separating them with ";", but that does not seem to work.

Also is there a maximum OcCLE line length?

The only way to do multiple would be to write it as multiple PHP statements on one line. That's because MySQL on PHP has ";" disabled, so we'd need to implement an SQL parser to detect it.

I don't think there's a maximum length no.
