Hi,

In the Admin Zone, Setup section, Configuration icon, Feature settings – there's an option to disable the banners.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same problem. As the attached image indicates, there appears no choice to eliminate the default banner.

I was able to remove the banners by setting a campaign one day before today, and that seemed to work. There must be a more elegant solution.

If you are logged in as admin you will always see banners by default. The solution would be to make the banner inactive.

I tried finding in the documentation where that should occur, and it appears it should be on the screen that I attached.

I see no option there for making a banner inactive. Am I misreading something? Am I in the wrong screen?

Thanks for the responses to my queries, BTW. Much appreciated.

You should be able to do that under Banners in the Admin Zone. Been a while since I used v9, but I am pretty sure there is a way to unvalidate individual banners.

Skim-reading this, I think it's just a matter of deleting those default banners from the CMS zone. Content Management > Banners > Edit banner type, select one to edit, and delete from the edit form.
