I'm sorry if this is an answered question, but I did spend a while looking to no avail…

I noticed that the Quiz randomizes the answer order, which is generally a good thing.  However, for questions that have "All of the above"-type answers, it would be preferred to not randomize the answers. Is there a way to mark-up the question to *not* randomize the question order at render time?

Thanks!

Line 389 of site/pages/modules/quiz.php is:

Code

         if ($quiz['q_type']!='SURVEY') shuffle($answers);
and could be removed. But it would of course remove it from all.

I suggest you post a request on the tracker, I do agree with you.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
