I've got a couple of questions for anyone who can help. I'm running the old 3.2 version and need to upgrade to the newer versions. I don't have a lot of stuff customized so I doubt it will be too hard. The two main things I am wondering about is the forums and my member info. When I do the upgrade will my forums stay intact with all the posts and topics. Also will all my membership data transfer on over?

Thanks for the help.

All data should be transfered to the new version.

You should always backup your files first before upgrading to the new version.
You can use the backup option on your site.

In addition, I would highly recommend making several (never just rely on one backup) Database specific backups using phpMyAdmin Database Utility. This way, if the upgrade goes well but some elements of your database seemed off, or corrupted, you have an original to compare to and work with to solve the problem.

Thanks for the responses. Here is another question, this might be more difficult. When I installed OPC, I had to load all of the file manually, I could not use the regular installer. I want to do the upgrade and change servers too. Is there a way I can upload the newer version and then add in my needed files from the back ups?
