Upgraded from 4.2.2 to 5.0.1, had to do it manually since the auto one never finished.
The site and forum working well without issues (well AFAIK for now) except for a few things:
It seems to be not using the old css files for some of the font colors, the main banner placement, and seems to have lost the background template, which led to another problem - the theme manager is no longer working - cannot access the old themes to edit.
Getting this error:
Programming error: Integers and/or floats should not be passed into templates (NAME): convert them to strings. (version: 5.0.1, PHP version: 5.2.12, URL: /adminzone/index.php?page=admin_themes&type=themes&keep_fatalistic=1)

Hi,

Do you have a theme with a numeric name (like '123')? If so please try removing it (you need to rebuild themes for 5 anyway).

We will fix the issue in 5.0.2.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
