Hi guys,

I'm having a huge problem and need your expertise.
First let me tell you that I am way, way over my head.
With that said let me try to explain what happened. I had version 4.2.2 installed and tried to upgrade it to 5.1 beta1.
Received a critical error reporting a prior problem that should be fixed if and when I fixed the problem in hands.
Well, at that time I realized things wouldn't work for me and my level of knowledge so I decided to restore a backup and put everything as it was.
If things ware going bad they just got even worst. With that critical error i was still able to login and access content and the forum. After restoring a backup of my "home" directory using ocportal I got a fatal error and now I have absolutely no idea on how to solve this.
You can see for you selves the problem at Bem-vindo ao AST - Airsoft SEMTABUS - AST - Airsoft SEMTABUS
So… can anyone please help me?

Regards,
Joćo

Hi,

Please log into the upgrader and run an integrity check. I think you have a corrupt PHP file and that should be able to tell which.

  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi Chris,

I am unable to do that. Keep receiving this message:
'/home/softcomb/public_html/airsoftsemtabus.com/sources/glob
al.php(155) : eval()\'d code'

Try putting &keep_show_parse_errors=1 on the URL and see if that gives you a more accurate error. I'm pretty sure you have an override in sources_custom that is corrupt.

What would you like me to do? I don't see an error when I go to the site, although it is closed. If you want to give me access to look at anything you can open a bug report support ticket with the details.

Table prefixes are configurable, ocp5_ is just a default.
