I tried to create a custom page in the custom zone. I got this answer

Cannot write to /public_html/Enciklopedija/pages/comcode_custom/LT/Specialie
ji_puslapiai.txt. File permissions for it have not been set correctly.

Via FTP I found the directory LT here but I cannot open, chmod, delete or do anything with it

BTW when I tried to edit Comcode page I got this message:

Cannot write to /public_html//pages/comcode/LT. File permissions for it have not been set correctly.

Sorry about this. I've now made some improvements to how directories get made when new languages or zones are added for the next release, so things will be getting better here.

To delete the folder, use the file manager of your web hosting control panel.

If that fails, make a PHP script that contains:

PHP code

and open it up by URL (then delete it). Your folder should be gone.

Recreate the folder as before (it's a similar problem to what happened to your templates_cached/LT folder).

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

It worked. Thank you.

Another thing

When I tried to create comcode page again, I was told:

Cannot write to /public_html/pages/comcode/LT. File permissions for it have not been set correctly.

There was no folder LT. And there was no such folder in adminsite, forum, Site, Enciklopedija and few others. So I created them manually and it started to work
