unable to move Pages

I've got a silly Problem. I would like to move a Module/Page which should be Possible with the Site Tree Editor. But no matter how hard i try, the Page i move just swaps back to it's original Spot (i tried with multiple Pages)

I have no Idea if I'm just to Stupid, it's a Server or a CMS Problem.

Hi,

It turns out the HTML5 drag and drop API implementing in Firefox and Google Chrome (likely also other browsers) is conflicting with the custom drag and drop API we created a while back for ocPortal.

We'll get this fixed in the next release, however it's a really minor feature and for now you might as well just move the pages using FTP. E.g. move site/pages/comcode_custom/EN/foo.txt to new_zone/pages/comcode_custom/EN/foo.txt.

I wouldn't recommend moving default modules, as it makes upgrading hard. Instead I'd create "transparent redirects" (there's a Redirects icon in the Structure section of the Admin Zone).

Hello,

thank you very much for the comprehensive answer. Unfortunately it's so far ranging that it brings up another Problem/Question. If a Page is transparent redirected to a Zone without a Subpage * 1 it shows the Missing Page Error. If transparent redirected to a Zones subpage * 2 , it doesn't use the Zones Layout where it is redirected to.

On the other Hand, if i do the redirect visa versa * 3 it works so far but the Page i want to redirect is still accesable from its Original Zone. I can bypass this by using the visa versa one and another non transparent redirect * 4 for the original way, but this doesn't seem very elegant for me.

Is it anywhere documented how to Upgrade with a moved standard Module? Or would it work just to move the Chatmodule back for the Upgrade process?

Because i think this might be hard to understand, i'll add what im talking about.

The inelegant one would be the one we'd advise really for most users, but if you're create a particularly complex site maybe it is better for you to actually move the module. If you're happy with some added complexity of upgrades then it's not as bad as all that - I think the upgrader will actually advise you of the issues as it is designed to auto-detect them.

If a Page is transparent redirected to a Zone without a Subpage * 1 it shows the Missing Page Error.
It also shows Action successfully if you Redirect from a Zone without a Subpage like
Site
:
misc
Delete
but no redirection is created at all. This might be a bit confusing for someone.

I don't know if this is any Important to you, but i thought to better report it because it shouldn't be a harm as well.
