. . . perhaps, but it isn't navigation-friendly!

I continue to 'experiment' with the OCP features, so if you don't hear from me for ages it probably means that even an 'old duffer' like me is able to find the things that are on the box lid.

The most recent consternation I've suffered is that, in spite of (or perhaps 'because of') the fact that almost every page navigated to allows you to navigate back via the top and side menus and the breadcrumb feature, accessing the "Printer-friendly page" function leaves the user high and dry. No menus! No breadcrumbs! The only way back is the 'back button'.

Design feature, or possible oversight?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

I think it works well this way: the printer-friendly page doesn't have any navigation elements which would not be appropriate on a printed page. If the user doesn't know how to use the back button, then they are in a bit of trouble.

We'll bear your thoughts in mind. :)

Point taken. But a breadcrumb navigation back, aligned right, wouldn't hurt the printed page, especially since the page already bears the title, aligned left, very clearly.

That's my take on it as a user. I wonder if anybody else has a viewpoint?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

I agree with fletch.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.
