When I click the preview button in DOWNLOADS comment it posts the comment immediately. If I make the comment in the forum it has all three buttons and responds correctly.

Is this a bug or have I damaged something when I've edited the template?

I just tested it on my v9 test installation. I think it's a bug.

Thanks for the feedback Jason, glad it wasn't something I did :)

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thanks chris,
Preview now works but I get this (NEW) message now:

Code

A language entry is missing: ADBLOCKER

Any further suggestions?

A new language string was likely added to one of the language .ini files but not included with the hotfix. It looks like it was meant to warn users when their browser is blocking the preview iframe and preventing it from displaying. The error can be ignored until Chris gets it fixed.

Ah, yes.

If you like you can paste this on the end of lang/EN/critical_error.ini file:

Code

ADBLOCKER=The preview frame seems to be missing. This is probably due to running a browser adblocker plugin.

I think the error only shows on first cache generation so it's not awful.

We need to get a new patch release out, we're at the point of fixes getting in the way of fixes :).

Thank you Chris.

I've added it as suggested, just for completeness and you are right, after I reported it, it seemed to go away, I thought that was strange O_o

Appreciated.
