My error:
Premature end of script headers: install.php | (null)Error 500: Script Execution Failure
What does this mean? It won't let me install my portal :(.

This means that the install script is failing somewhere and not giving out an appropriate error message, which might mean that it's run out of memory.

Try using the manual installer, or increasing PHP's memory limit.

Well that just means I'm screwed…because that was the manuel installer, and I can't increase Php's memory as far as I know. Is there a "more manuel" way to install? Such as writing the config file myself?

I'll investigate this issue myself later on today, because it's new to me.

Does the error happen immediately when install.php is launched, or at some later stage of installation?

Philip's analysis is correct - this is a generic failure message produced only when PHP on your server is installed in a certain non-typical way. Unfortunately the way PHP is installed means that a more useful message does not appear, so it's not something we can really diagnose without direct server access and spending a lot of time on it.
As we can't justify doing that kind of extensive work ourselves without a purchase, I'm afraid ocProducts can't provide any more direct help. My suggestion would be that PHP is not configured well on this server, and should either get reconfigured, or a different server should be used.
Whatever happens, I hope you're able to get a website up and running :).
