The system is requiring some of our user to validate their post by admin - How can I make it so no post validation required

Cheers

Under permissions, make sure the low validation is set to "+" (I think). Yeah, that should work.  ;)

I am having trouble finding this setting. Could someone provide a few more specifics.

I do not quite have the hang of the Permissions Tree Editor so I have been looking via the global specific-permissions link. I have looked through numerous of the permission groupings and have not found the validation setting.

Thanks.

It's in the forum editing process, not permission tree editor.

When you create/edit a forum, towards the bottom is permissions before you click add/edit. That's where you set the permissions for post validation.

Greetings,

ocPortal has permission controlover each aspect of the site, you can set up permissions in various ways or places.

For forums, you can go to…
Structure > Forums > Edit Forums > Choose the forum you want to edit.

Show the Permissions block, and notice the Bypass post validation column. Make sure each user has a check mark in it.

Also you can find Bypas validator permissions in the global specific-permissions > submissions. However I believe this may be more related to articles and the like. CEDI pages and even catalogues have similar permissions.

Using the Admin Zone's search box for Bypass Validation or Bypass Validator should also help when looking for this function.

Note, when creating a new forum as a subforum of a parent forum, it will typically carry over the parent forum's setpermissions, though you can of course change the subforum's permissions.

Thank you for the responses.

Once I was looking in the right place (forum edit) it was easy to find and adjust the forum settings. I had seen the "other user's" low, mid, & high-impact content settings in the global specific-permissions > submissions but thought that sounded like something different. I will have to work more at figuring out how those fit into the mix.

Again, thanks.

If you roll-over the "?" at the end, it'll tell you what they are for.

But for the forums, it's where I pointed you to and mythus kinda repeated.
