Not sure if this was an intentional choice or not but the Poll block does not have a top border like other boxes (this is from the default theme):

It's hard to answer without knowing what neighbouring blocks there are and if it is in a panel. A full screenshot would help.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Yes, this is intentional. It's complex to explain, but we make the boxes on the panel join up (apart from the menu boxes), so the intermediate borders aren't there. The poll can be particularly tricky because of it being in a frame.
You can adjust the CSS if you like, look for 'interlock' in global.css. I suggest you just kill off all the interlock stuff.

Thanks for the solution.

I think I may leave it as is for the time being and see about rearranging blocks so that it abuts another block with a border.
