where do I upload

Hi quick question,

My site has already been deployed. I'd like to upload the offline documentation but the instructions seem a little vague to me. Where would I upload them to and how do I get my site to always reference those docs? Do I need to chmod those folders that I upload?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Chmod not needed unless you're editing.
For the site to reference the docs you need to run the debrand tool in the adminzone and choose your own site as the brand site.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi,

I understand the confusion, we are being a bit inconsistent between the docs archive and the debranding tool's requirements, as these were released separately originally.

I have now updated the docs archive and put more clear documentation on it's description.
