leatest version...

Hi guys, someone has this problem also, that after a new installation of the leatest version, attachments are not showing up???

The attachments screen is visible and I can choose also, but when I hit the save button, there is no attachment into the post.

I have check this on the whole site and see that no of my buttons into write area are working.
I have the .htaccess file active. I thought that I had this sometime earlier but can't remember the solution……

I found the old solution, but at this time its a compleet fresh install, and there a no special things are done.
The xml parser is not working, so no smilye's, images and so more….. I have used the quick install and renamed the recommend_htaccess file. O_o

Hi,

It sounds like there's a Javascript error happening on the site. It might be a missing or corrupt file, but it's hard to say unless further investigation is done. I'm going to assume you're using Firefox for running this test (the test won't work in IE without extra software, but most other web browsers can do something similar)…

Go to the tools menu and select 'Error Console'. Click 'Clear'. Load up a page and try to place an attachment. Please take a screenshot of the error console, and place it here. I'm interested in the first error that occurs in it.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

The problem exist into Opera 9.25 nothing is working here.

With IE 7 there are no problems at all….  So it must be a problem of the opera browser.  But strange at my other sites with ocportal 3.2.4 I don't have this problems///

With the Opera 9.25 browser I have here the same problems.

Hi,

Until now this site did not have the fix installed. But I've now updated it and it seems to be working on Opera.

If this site is working for you please start a support ticket with the URL to your failing site so we can run some tests.

If this site is not working for you please let us this.

Hi,

The replacement file has uploaded to your server corrupt.
It seems to have both lost linebreaks, and also at least one portion of the file is missing.
Please delete the JAVASCRIPT_EDITING.tpl file, turn on 'binary transfer mode' in the FTP program, reupload, clear your template cache, and try again :).
