Fan in training

There are two catalogs that I would love to be able to use as they would fit the purpose of my website perfectly.
One is 'Have the projects catalog' and the other is 'Have the modifications catalog'. Every time I check the box to have them installed and then continue on with the process that should install them they don't... When I go back the check marks in the appropriate boxes are gone.

What am I doing wrong?

What features should I see when these two catalogs are plugged into my site?

Thanks again for any help.

A very common mistake is to think of the Setup Wizard as a core part of ocPortal that you re-run. This is not the case: it is a tool to help you get started, and not the main method for configuring ocPortal. Anything in the Setup Wizard is configurable elsewhere within ocPortal. Anything you see pre-set in there does not necessarily represent the current configuration of your site, just the default outcome of running the wizard.

We actually give out a warning if you re-run the Setup Wizard for this reason.

Specifically on these catalogues:

They are on the collaboration zone menus by default. They can also be accessed via the catalogues module (by going through the list of catalogues).

To be honest though, you could set up your own equivalent catalogues and get them linked into your menus in just a few minutes, so I wouldn't get too hung up about these bundled ones.

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Btw, welcome SRBorick :).

I'm adding notes about this to the docs too.
