Before creating a page and then having to rename it I have a question about child page case sensitivity.

Can anyone tell me if the Wiki pages are case sensitive?  Before I go any farther creating child pages I'd like to know if I name a page for example "Famous Musicians From Alabama" will I be able to reference that page from other pages using the double brackets if the reference isn't capitalized?  Just so there's no confusion in what I'm asking, using the example above my child page is

Famous Musicians From Alabama
can I reference that page as

[[famous musicians from Alabama]]
or does the reference have to use the same capitalization?

It probably depends on your MySQL collation. By default, probably not.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thanks Chris.  It doesn't make a difference at least on the server I'm on.  Don't know why I didn't just check it out using an existing page, which I did after making this post.
