Well-settled

I'm having some issues with cookies.  It seems as though even if I have "Remember Me" checked, I still have to log in everytime.  It works fine for me on this site… just not mine.  I cleared my cookies, but that didn't seem to help.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you take a look at your cookie settings by running the config_editor.php script. Either the cookie domain and path should be blank, or they should match what you're using.

Yeah… I was looking at that setting, and the domain was set to my IP and the path was just /.  I just tried to change it to be blank for both, and it set it back to what it was previously… and yes I logged back in to the base config to validate the changes.

Hi,

I don't think using an IP address works for a cookie domain. You were right to blank them out, but you'd need to actually test by logging into ocPortal – the base configuration editor doesn't use cookies itself.

By logging back in, I was trying to clear up any questions as to whether I validated the changes.  The IP is what it had in there by default.

OK, I figured out what I had to do to fix the problem.  Apparently I cannot edit the base config from the included PHP page in the admin control.  I had to manually go in and change the info.php file to .mydomain.com to get them to work.  Weird.

Thanks for the help, Chris.
