I have a couple of questions about the current calendar program...

1) When using the 'listing' option (as opposed to the calendar view), is it possible to have the listing box scroll so that it isn't exceptionally tall?  For example, I have it set for 30 days, but in those 30 days there are MANY events. Rather than limit the days to reduce the size, I want it to scroll. Possible?

2) On a site that has many `departments` (such as a store), is it possible to have a DIFFERENT calender - showing different listings - for EACH department?

Or would this need to be five different OCP installations (for five departments)?

Thanks in advance,
Erich

I can't answer your question about scrolling, but it is possible to have different calendar showings for different departments.  It's all the same calendar, but if you will create a different calendar category for each department then in your listing you can use the filter parm to include or exclude the coresponding number of the category events you want shown.  When you create your categories just keep a running count of what numbers are associated with what category.  For example:

Code

[block="listing" zone="_SEARCH" days="30" title="Upcoming Shows" filter="9,10,11,12,13"]side_calendar[/block]
Would show the upcoming shows or events for categories 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13
while:

Code

[block="listing" zone="_SEARCH" days="30" title="Upcoming Shows" filter="9"]side_calendar[/block]
would show only those shows or events for category 9.

Hi chipster,
I will try that, thanks for the point in the right direction.

Anyone have any idea about the calendar "listing" being able to scroll?

Thanks!
