I created a "downloads" zone with it's own menus and blocks rather than creating a page… and I added a new theme to this zone. Is it possible to move the downloads module to this zone rather than have it in the site zone?

Well-settled

You're better off thinking in terms of adding a transparent redirect, as moving modules can make upgrading painful.

I don't think that is going to work for how I want to set things up. :(

Edit: I have specific types of side menus for my downloads zone only and the colors are completely changed. Transparent redirects will still show the site zone colors and menus.

Hi,

They shouldn't do - a transparent redirect should make the page openable in the downloads zone and behave as if the module really was in that zone.

I might need a little explanation help I guess…

My "Site Zone" is blue as you see in the first attachment. When one clicks on the DOWNLOAD link in the top menu, it will lead to my "Download Zone" which is green (second attachment).

What I want is when someone clicks on one of the Categories in the left menu (attachment two shows 'The Outlet > The Sims 2'), the downloads page stays with the green color scheme and the left side menu (which is the download zone with a download theme).

I can figure out the "From Zone" and "From Page" in the redirects, but how would I display the "To Page" for all my download pages?

Eric, this is off your topic but I was wondering how you changed the login message from [ join ]to [ join for free ]?

Where is the source for the text?

friendly: I didn't use the main_greeting block which houses that. I just use the basic index.php?page=join link with my own text.

From zone, download
From page, downloads
To zone, site
To page, downloads
Transparent, yes

And set your links to point to download:downloads

(I am assuming you named the zone 'download', but if not just substitute)

Thanks for the nice and quick tutorial, Chris!

All my downloads are now "looking like" they're in the downloads zone.
