Mobile Version of the site loses left panel and right panel

Hi, I've just noticed on my site when browsing on my iphone (using opera) I have lost the left and right panel.
I've tried everything to get them back and seem to be failing miserably...
Could anyone help, further info can be provided if required...

My site, http://rbcj-hub.co.uk

Thanks in advance
Roy

Hi Roy,

I thought that was the case, also; however, after looking into it more deeply, it seem that the the left panel menu is placed at the bottom of the screen. Try to scroll down and see if that isn't the case for you, too.

Hi Doc,
Thanks for responding so quick...
I've tried mobile version on my laptop to check, and used my iphone and I still only get/see the centre (news in my case) zone...

Before, (on my iphone) the left and right panel where displayed at the bottom after the centre zone was displayed. But know I dont see them :o(

Sorry I can't help, Roy. Let me play around with my site and see if I can come up with another plan of action.

Thanks Doc,
I wonder if its got anything to do with a theme I installed (Scifi), and didnt used it, but now I think of it, it all seemed to go pear shaped around that time...
I'll uninstall and try...

Very likely. Themes often install blank panels as they are often single-column. You'll need to restore the last revision of the panels by editing them as Pages.

Nothing to do with mobile, it shows no panels on the desktop version either.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi Harry and Chris, thanks for checking up...
I found the issue, the "Opt to hide the left/right navigation" in settings was set to "respect member settings", since setting this to "no" the non-mobile version is displaying ok.
Still working on mobile version though...

Kindest regards
Roy

PS. I really gotta register :P
